Violet Evergarden is a Japanese light novel series written by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Akiko Takase. A 13-episode anime television series adaptation by Kyoto Animation aired between January and April 2018 with several advance screenings taking place in 2017.
Synopsis
The story features a young woman, Violet Evergarden, a former soldier turned “doll of automatic memories”, a job that involves helping people write letters that convey their feelings in all their intensity and complexity. Yet at first glance, Violet does not have a profile suited to this mission: while she has spent her entire life in war, during which she lost her arms and her superior, Major Gilbert, she struggles to express their emotions and understand those of others. , not knowing how to behave other than in the army.
As she travels through her country slowly recovering from the conflict, she meets different profiles with which she will discover a range of varied feelings, while making peace with her past as a killing machine. His greatest wish is to understand the meaning of the major’s last words: “I love you. ”

My opinion
I think the great thing about this show is that you are so attached to Violet that when she is sad, you are sad with her. When she’s desperate, so are we. We want to help her move forward to understand those feelings that she cannot understand. We learn with her, we move forward with her and in the end, when we finish this series, we are always hungry, we want more. Whether in terms of graphics, characters, music, or scenario, Violet Evergarden is one of the animes that charmed and made me sad to the highest point.
